Figure Fridays: Nagaham Robot Romance Trilogy

There's nothing more influential Japan gave to the Philippines in terms of POP culture more than the Robot Romance Trilogy. Two of them (Voltes V and Daimos) became extremely popular in the 70s while the other one (Combattler V) was shown alongside 20 years later when the the two shows were having a resurgence.

 So without further ado, enjoy the images.

2NE1's Dara's Anime Cosplay

This is an old pic of 2NE1's Dara (Sandara Park) Cosplaying as Megumi Oka (Jamie Robinson) of the anime Chodenjii Machine Voltes V. Back then She was part of the filipino dubbing team for the cable tv relaunch of the Anime. Though her performance wasn't as good back then, she became consistent and displayed humility (a trait seriously lacking for some local Filipino dubbers).




She also cosplayed as a ragnarok character in a music video (tagalog version) of Ragnarok the animation's Journey to the stars Opening song. Shown below is Dara (far left) along with the Star Circle Quest fab 5
