Review: Converse Pro Leather 2k11 Dr.J

32/365 Dr.J

The Converse Pro Leather 2k11 is one of two entries of the brand for the upcoming 2011-12 NBA Season, the other being the Converse Def Con. The 2k11 is highly inspired from one of Converse's pioneer endorsers, Dr. J Julius Erving. This is a good move for the brand to compensate for the lack of big names. Lately, Mavericks guard JJ Barea was spotted sporting one during his stint at the Pan Am games with the Puerto Rican national team.

The Shoe was launched last November 3 at the Cedar lake studios, NYC. The event was attended by  the Design team and some of the players of Team Converse.

sixers' Logo Rennaisance

Photobucket

I kinda noticed this while watching the NBA Draft last week, The Sixers has reverted back to its old logo. Now I'm not quite sure between the logo changes in NBA history but I've seen teams revert from the cartoony styles of the 90s updated logos inspired from their old team colors of the 80s (Examples, Pistons logo, Jazz logo, Bucks Logo) But I havent seen a team actually revert back to its old logo. I'm not sure if this is just for their 60th anniversary or if the jerseys will also be redesigned (I'll miss that Phila Alternate), but its nice to see a team reconsider its own retro logo for a change.
